9896: A SUBSTANTIAL MOSER MARQUETRY VASE WITH CARVED BLOSSOM

The thick, heavy citron-cased example is masterfully carved with stems and leaves and blossoms of Moser quality engraving highlighted by a carnelian-colored hot pad glass application finished with wheel carving to create a flower head on thin cameo relief tendril of amber glass. Signed Moser Karlsbad.
Measures 13.75 inches.
Very good condition noting a factory bubble near one of the etched leaves. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
