Benton's notes in Fath read: From a drawing made 1928 in North Carolina, Smoky Mountain country. With a companion driving the car, I followed these hill people 'till the drawing was finished.
Image measures 10 x 12.25, sheet is 11.75 x 15.5, and frame is 14.75 x 17 inches.
Good to fair condition, the sheet with good margins is not laid down, there is brown paper tape on all four edges of the sheet's back side, there is a mat burn across and around the image and toning in the margins. Adhesive residue remains across the top margin center above the image.
