EDGAR DEGAS (1834-1917) POSTHUMOUS ETCHING

265: EDGAR DEGAS (1834-1917) POSTHUMOUS ETCHING

Edgar Degas (France, 1834-1917)
Sortie du bain (Late 19th Century)
The drypoint etching is from an edition of 150 published by Vollard, Paris after cancellation of the plate, per the three lines of defacing transferred to the image here printed on cream wove paper with wide margins.
Image measures 5 x 5 with a framed size of 15.5 x 15.5 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, noting two spots of foxing in the sheet's wide margins. No visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
$300 - $500
