122: A FOUR CYLINDER MODEL GAS ENGINE BY ELMER WALL CHICAGO
Elmer Wall model gas powered engines became popular on a large scale beginning in the 1930s, though he began designing and crafting miniature gas engines for his son as early as 1904. Wall's engines were popular among model engineers and hobbyists. One of his most notable models was a 50cc four-cylinder, in-line, water-cooled, four-stroke engine. The crankcase or other parts of these engines bore the lettering ''E. WALL - CHICAGO. cast in relief as shown here.
Measures 6.5 x 6 x 10.25 inches without board.
