34: A VERY FINE GEORGE II 18TH CENTURY GILTWOOD MIRROR
The exceptional example with open pediment and central shell above a peddled surface frieze of plumes in relief over the plate with beveled edge flanked by bell flowers and half tassels down each side, lower pediment with central shell and acanthus scrolls, the whole retains its original gilding with its original surface in fine, soft patina.
Purchased by the consignor at Kentshire Galleries, New York, New York.
Measures 51 x 28 inches.
