The late 1960s acrylic on canvas is signed and dated verso along with the card of Kingpitcher Gallery for Contemporary Art Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Ron Slowinski earned a certificate in painting from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1954 and had his first one person show in 1957 at the famed Wells St. Gallery. This newly established avant-garde exhibition space was founded by, and showcased the works of, some of the city's youngest and most advanced abstractionists of the time.
In 1966 he began teaching at the Kansas City Art Institute, a position he held for 39 years. In addition, he would participate in more than 60 exhibitions of his work, 25 or more being one person shows.
Canvas measures 35.5H x 35.5W inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
