Artist Frank E. Steinman was born in Mexico, Missouri and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute where he collaborated with classmate Duard Marshall, also represented in this auction, in 1941 to produce My Road, a limited edition of 50 handmade books featuring Marshall's text and lithographs, with Steinman contributing layout and hand-lettering. He was known for painting architectural subjects and rural scenes.
Sight size measures 17.75 x 13.5 with a framed size of 25.2.5 x 21 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
