The bronze sculpture patinated to the effect of faux stone is signed in the casting and numbered 10 from an edition of only 45.
The work is a small scale study after the artist's 18 feet tall 16,000 pound sculpture at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City.
Gerald Balciar is a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society and a member of the Society of Animal Artists, Allied Artists of America, and the Northwest Rendezvous Group. He has received numerous awards including the Prix de West Award in 1985 from the National Academy of Western Art.
Measures 14.75H x 7W x 4D inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or wear.
