The figure of Chief Standing Bear, a Ponca tribal leader, is signed in the casting, numbered 92 from an edition of 100 and bears the founder's mark.
Oreland C. Joe, Sr. is a Native American artist of Dine' (Navajo) and Ute descent. was the first Native American elected to the Cowboy Artists of America. This work bears the designation of CA in the casting, representing this designation of membership.
Joe has also received recognition in the form of multiple gold and silver medals for his work.
Measures 21H x 7W x 7D inches.
