The noteworthy example, unusual for its moonrise, pleasing colors and identified locale and landmarks, is signed lower right front.
The artist's position is identified as being the 15th century Matlock Bridge, also known as Derwent Bridge, which spans the River Derwent in the town of Matlock, Derbyshire, England. The subject is Riber castle as the sun sets and a moon rises.
Canvas measures 14.25 x 22.2.5 with a framed size of 20.25H x 28W x 3D inches.
Very good condition, noting thin, light strokes of inpainting upper right and upper left, less than 20% of the total area. No scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
