Joseph Henry Boston was best known for his Impressionist landscapes like the example here, and coastal scenes. Born in Massachusetts, he studied at the Massachusetts Normal Art School and later in Europe at the Acadamie Julian in Paris, where he was influenced by French Impressionism. He later became a prominent figure in the Boston School of painters and was a founding member of the Guild of Boston Artists in 1914. He exhibited widely at institutions like the National Academy of Design, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Boston Art Club.
Canvas measures 10 x 12 with a framed size of 15.75H x 17.75W x 3.25D inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
