Chris Owen studied at Montana State University-Billings and at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
His work often emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between humans and horses as seen here.
Throughout his career, Owen has received numerous accolades, including the Museum Purchase Award at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Governor's Invitational Western Art Show and the National Western Permanent Collection Purchase Award at the Coors Western Art Exhibit.
Owen's artwork has been featured in the C.M. Russell Art Auction in Great Falls, Montana; the Coors Western Art Show in Denver, Colorado; and Western Visions at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
