The very rare color woodblock print from an edition of only 50 impressions is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left near the inscription of Ed. 50. No record of this print having appeared at auction in the last 30 years could be found.Norma Bassett Hall and her husband built a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in the early 1940s. This could be an image of their home there.
Image measures 9.5 x 12, sheet is 12 x 14.5inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet with good, even margins, not laid down, no damage, stain, punctures, tears or repair. There is a pale even overall impression of toning to the image field and slightly beyond the edges of the image.
