The original color stone lithograph poster, printed at Atelier Mourlot, Paris, 1967, engraved by Charles Sorlier, after the art of Marc Chagall. Published by the Metropolitan Opera, New York for Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Chagall's stage and costume designs. Signed in the stone, the printer's mark ''D'APRÈS MARC CHAGALL - F. SORLIER GRAV.'' lower left in black letters and ''PRINTED IN FRANCE © MOURLOT'' lower right. References: Sorlier, Chagall - Les Affiches, no. 77; Cramer, Chagall Posters, no. 39.
