The Navajo transitional weaving is an example of the transitional textiles created by weavers as they moved from making wearing blankets for Native use to thicker rugs with borders to satisfy commercial demands. Circa 1890 - 1920.
Measures 81.5 x 60 inches.
Considerable stain overall as shown. Intact sides and ends with original corner tassels. No damage, repair, or odor.
Provenance: Living estate, Des Moines, Iowa.
