The carved and polished walnut plaque with biomorphic application is signed lower right front.

As a founding member of the Kansas City Woodworker's Guild and president of the Missouri Craftsman Council, Clarence Teed was a central figure in Midwest studio craft design community. He considered himself a 'designer-craftsman' who created objects that were both functional as well as artistic.
Measures 17.5 x 10.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair, scratches or wear.
Provenance: Living estate, Des Moines, Iowa.
