68: A GOULD & COOK CIRCA 1886 MECHANICAL PENCIL SHARPENER

The hand crank mechanism rotates the pencil against a spinning sandpaper disk. The cast iron base is marked 'Gould & Cook-Leominster, Ma., Pat. May 25 1886'. Measures 8 x 9 x 8 inches.
Some splits to the wooden crank handle, mechanism turns freely, no oxidation, good.
