American Regionalist artists Philip (1891-1965) and Mary (1893-) Gronemeyer were prominent in the St. Louis, Missouri art community in the 1930s, 40s and 50s. This work is stamped verso 'The Estate of Phil and Mary Gronemeyer' and is attributed to Phil or Mary. The work is an unsigned watercolor on paper depicting the Borden, Indiana train depot circa 1940. Sheet measures 15 x 20, frame measures 19.25 x 24.25 inches.
Glue residue verso, otherwise very good condition, clean and free from damage, stain or repair.
