214: ELSIE BATES FREUND (1907-2001) PENCIL SIGNED ETCHING

A very rare work by this noted artist and teacher most associated with Arkansas. This work, titled 'Colorado Farm' lower left is noted as an edition of 10 lower left and signed lower right with a date of 1947. The plate size is 14.25 x 11, frame measures 18.5 x 22 inches. Elsi Bates Freund is best known for her jewelry design and craftsmanship but is also notable as co-founder of Summer Art School in Eureka Springs, Arkansas which she and her husband, muralist Louis Freund, founded in 1940.
Very good condition. Even overall toning. There are no other issues of staining, damage or repair.
