57: THE BEST RARE GRIFFIN CARVED & MIRRORED OAK ICEBOX

An outstanding circa 1890s oak parlor icebox manufactured by Belding-Hall Co. of Belding MI. The unusual serpentine form top supported by carved oak winged griffins at front corners, above full-standing columns. The top door set with serpentine beveled mirror, bottom door features two serpentine panels. major carved details throughout with incised claw feet and original wooden casters. Recently restored original finish. All-original brass hinges and latches, fitted interior panels, drain and drain pipe. Includes fitted glass shelves in lower section. Measures 56 x 28 x 19 inches. Very good restored condition.
