95: A RIBBON-STRIPED MAHOGANY GRIFFIN PARTNER'S DESK

Circa 1890s ribbon mahogany partner's desk after the style of RJ Horner. Solid ribbon-stripe mahogany throughout, top bordered with relief-carved scrolls and vines, and supported by four large seated winged griffins with serpent tails, the skirt relief-carved with scrolls and vines and include carved handles for opposing partners' drawers, serpentine bottom shelf over bun feet with recessed casters. Measures 30 x 55 x 37 inches. Very good restored condition.
