A 19th century carved oak Black Forest-style clock with large figural griffins. ^The solid quartersawn oak case with full figural winged griffins centered by clock face with enameled numeral chapter, carved fruit, scrolls and ribbons; a barometer with enamel dial. Retailer tag reads 'Fabrique d'Horlogerie and Sculpture Suisse.' Retailed by Edouard Schirrman at 7 Rue Royale, Paris, France. Measures 37.5 x 24.5 x 5.5 inches. Very good restored working condition. Very good original working and time keeping condition at the time of inspection. Clocks often require proper set-up and balnce when being moved. Time keeping devices cannot be gauranteed following transport.
