Chief Petty Officer Lawrence Walburn, USN, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. Lawrence served on the USS Giraffe, USS Massey, USS Hood and USS Sullivan as a cook and baker, He served to the end of the war and after, earning the Good Conduct Medal with four bronze stars, among many others.
