Four good examples of David Melby's experimentation with atmospheric conditions, clouds and sunlight:

1. Evening Wash of Light is a study of atmospheric conditions just after sunset that create a wide shaft of golden light and hints of illuminated landscape. Board measures 10 x 20 with a framed size of 14.25 x 24.25 inches.

2. Toward a Sky of Light represents conditions at dusk with a glowing sky and subtle detail of lighted windows among trees and landscape. Board is 10 x 20 with a framed size of 15.5 x 25.5 inches.

3. Warm Sweep of Burning Light is signed lower right and again verso where the title is written. Board measures 12 x 12 with a framed size of 17.75 x 17.75 inches.

4. An untitled sunlit landscape with sweeping energy in the sky and on the flat land is signed lower left and again verso. Board measures 9 x 12 with a framed size of 12.5 x 15.5 inches.
