388: GORHAM STANDISH PATTERN BOWL AND WEBSTER PLATTER

The paneled bowl with upturned and scalloped rim in Standish pattern by Gorham is offered here with an undecorated Webster sterling silver platter having a central three letter monogram engraved in the front center.
Bowl measures 3 x 9.25, tray is 10 x 13.5 inches. Total weight 33.60 ozt.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear. The platter has an engraved monogram front side and the bowl back side.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
