502: TOSTRUP AND OTHER ENAMELED NORWEGIAN STERLING

The sterling silver tea strainer enameled in traditional Celtic designs with stamped mark of 925S and TOSTRUP for Jacob Tostrup (Norway 1806-1890) is accompanied by four enameled spoons stamped 830s.

A non-Scandinavia sterling fork with enameling is included.
Sizes range from 2.5 to 5.75 inches.
Very good condition, noting that the fork is slightly misshapen.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
