The high quality casting in a very nice, classic dark green to black patina is after the Hellenistic bronze example circa 125-100 BC, now in the collection of the National Archaeological Museum, Naples. There are no markings.
Measures 30.75 x 11.75 x 12.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
