454: THIRTEEN ROYAL DOULTON SERVICE PLATES SIGNED PERCY

The classic Royal Doulton shape is decorated with green ground reserves of florals and flower baskets on the wide rim, and each plate is centered by a hand painted flower basket, in most cases signed E. Percy for the factory decorator. The decoration appears to be partially transfer and partially hand painted.
Measures 10.75 inches.
Very good to excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of wear, noting one very short utensil mark to one, otherwise excellent overall with all gold beads and other decoration, nice shine, little to no sign of handling or use.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
