3: A SILVER-LACED AND METAL MOUNT SHIPLEY WESTERN SADDLE

The fancy western saddle with nicely tooled and leather-laced undercut swell decorated in studs has a silver lacing at the horn and the gullet's edge. The seat jockey, fenders, skirts and taps are all floral tooled and embellished with matching silver metal mounts having acid etched decoration. The cantle is silver-laced and embellished with diamond-shape plaques along with tooled initials of LBM. The seat and both fenders are stamped with the maker's oval mark.

An unsigned headstall with very similar ornamentation and a hand engraved aluminum western bit is included.
Measures 15 inches from the gullet to the stitching on the cantle.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
