42: A FULL FLOWERED TWO-COLOR TRICK SADDLE STAMPED SHIPLEY

The 'full flowered' version of Shipley's Anniversary Trick Saddle number 417 with quilted horsehide seat, Shipley's egg shape bronze horn, six conchos, vault hand-holds behind the seat, stamped oval Chas P. Shipley on the fenders suspending oxbow stirrups, and C.P. Shipley Kansas City between the vault handholds behind the seat. Shipley also offered this saddle plain or with stamped decoration. There is an added underlying set of skirts with tooling.
Measures 13.5 inches from the gullet to the stitching on the cantle.
Good condition with light wear commensurate with age and use, replaced leather strings and possibly conchos.
