95: A SPREAD WING EAGLE CAST IRON SHOOTING GALLERY TARGET

The early 20th century figural eagle is cast in greater detail to the feather, wing and talon features than similar examples of the period and is attributed by most sources to H.C. Evans Co. of Chicago, Illinois.

An original Evans catalog being offered in this auction pictures the same form on page 30, describing it as, ...''distinctly ornamental.''
Measures 13 x 10.5 inches.
