9819: A GILT AND ENAMELED ART GLASS COMPOTE SIGNED MOSER

(Late 19th Century.)
The quatrefoil shape bowl with undulating rim is cased with opaque green on blue, and raised on an amber glass trunk-form base. The bowl is decorated in glass bead grape clusters of various colors among relief enamels of grapevines and insects. The rustic motif base is enhanced with gilt depictions of knotholes and bark, glass bead grape clusters, and an inscription of Moser on the underside.
Measures 7.75 x 12 inches.
There is a 1.5-inch chip to the underside of the upper rim. Otherwise very good, with no other chips, cracks, repairs. There may be some loss of glass beads.
