The rare early lithograph from a very low edition of only 23 total prints pulled is signed and dated by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left. It was exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and published in Collier's magazine in 1942.

This marks the first appearance of this rare lithograph at auction, or anywhere offered for sale that we can find. According to all four major art auction record databases and entries on the major online bidding platforms it has never been up for bid.

Images like this that document authentic Native American traditions, ceremonies and culture are important and desirable. Charles Banks Wilson personally bore witness to the events he portrayed in art. Add to this the rarity of this low edition print and it confirms that this image is both rare and desirable.
