The rare early lithograph from a very low edition of of only 10 (ten) prints pulled, is signed and dated by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left.

This marks the first appearance of this extremely rare lithograph at auction, or having been offered anywhere for sale that we can find. According to all four major art auction record databases and entries on the major online bidding platforms it has never been up for bid. This may be the only opportunity one has to obtain this important print, particularly in this condition.

David Hunt comments, 'Representing Indians from different cultural backgrounds, this print proved to be prophetic of the amalgamation of tribal ceremonies that occurred decades later. '

Charles Banks Wilson explained, 'I saw the drum as a unifying element for people of a divided heritage. The big hat represents Oklahoma; the Pueblo haircut and the Navajo headband the Southwest; the overalled figure the East; and the Buffalo headdress the Far West. Yet all are singing the same song.'

Images like this that document authentic Native American traditions, ceremonies and culture are important and desirable. Charles Banks Wilson personally bore witness to many of the events he portrayed in art. Add to this the rarity of this low edition print and it confirms that this image is both very rare and very desirable.
Image measures 12.5 x 8, sheet is 15 x 10, and frame is 18.5 x 14 inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, stain, punctures, tears or repair. there is some very light toning in the margins as shown in the online images, framed to archival standards in acid free mounts.
