1. Two views of the Vance Hotel with horse drawn freight wagons pulled up, one being inscribed, ...'.military Officers and CS Storehouse.' The hotel structure was used by both the Federal Army and the Confederate Army and different times before during and after the American Civil War.

3. A rare and noteworthy image of Henry Doerr's photography studio near the Masonic Hall in San Antonio. The Masonic Hall is pictured with small foreground buildings, including one with a crude camera shape trade sign over the door and a sign that reads PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY (see enlarged image).
