A total of two related items:

1. The block print in a technique variously referred to as nail head, nail cut, or nail punch titled Veteran Pines from 1928 is signed by Sandzen in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left. The early images is printed on Hamilton's Victor watermarked paper. Greenough catalog number 57. The image measures 4.5 x 5.5, sheet is 7.75H x 8.75W inches.

2. A circa 1930 photograph of Birger Sandzén at work in his studio, hand signed along the lower edge of the image, measures 11H x 7W inches.

Good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, punctures, tears or repair, heavy toning in the margins as shown in the online images.
Provenance: Family of the Topeka, kansas artist Mary Huntoon.
