The oil on canvas panel is housed in a custom frame of the period and signed lower left. The date and title are inscribed verso.
Carl Sammons was born in Kearney, Nebraska and initially worked as a sign painter in Sioux City where he began taking lessons from a local artist before taking classes at the California School of Fine Arts. He is considered one of California's most accomplished impressionists.
Board measures 16 x 20 with a framed size of 24H x 28W inches.
