David Erikson studied in Paris when scenes from the French North African colonies were still popular subjects. Images of markets, Islamic mosques and desert landscapes with figures in traditional dress, along with more exotic harem scenes, are referred to in art glossaries as Orientalism, an artistic style and pursuit that romanticized scenes from North Africa and the Middle East,
Canvas measures 20 x 16 with a framed size of 25.5H x 21.5W x 2.25D inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
