Marjorie Reed is known for painting western motifs like these picturing stagecoaches traversing dusty trails, cowboys alongside horses, and evocative landscapes of the American west.
Her Butterfield Stage series, completed in 1957, featured similar scenes and gained national attention. Some were included in a book titled The Colorful Overland Stage, which published twenty of her color reproductions.
Her work was exhibited at prominent venues like the Biltmore Salon and Ebell Salon in Los Angeles, as well as the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Desert Inn Gallery in Palm Springs, Palm Desert Art Gallery, and the Rosequist Gallery in Tucson.
Each sight size measures 3 x 4 with a framed size of 7.75 x 9.75 inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
