203: AN UNUSUAL EARLY 20C. PLAINS BEADED KNIFE SHEATH

The Crow or Blackfeet sheath of unusual construction has beading on canvas with nine colors of lazy stitch sinew-sewn glass beads and two short rows of cut steel beads, leather backing, the interior shows black thread stitched restoration of native or other origin.
Knife measures 11.25 inches long. The sheath is 9.5 x 3.25 inches.
Very good condition, approx. 1/3 of the edge beading is lost, no other loss, no damage or repair.
Provenance: The estate of a Wyoming collector.
