178: A FINE CHEYENNE BEADED KNIFE SHEATH WITH METAL CONES

The circa 1885 Cheyenne knife sheath of rawhide, glass beads, metal cones and dyed red horsehair tufts retains a Native tanned belt loop or thong with remnants of dyed porcupine quill.
Knife measures 11 inches long and sheath is 10 x 3 inches.
Very good condition, no bead loss, intact metal cones, 75% loss of quill wrap on belt loop, no other losses, no damage or repair.
Provenance: The estate of a Wyoming collector.
