199: A LAKOTA BEADED AND QUILLED HIDE TOBACCO BAG CIRCA 1900

The bag of Native tanned leather is decorated with glass beads, dyed porcupine quillwork.
Measures 31.75 x 9 inches, including the fringe.
Half inch long area of bead loss top of the bag and thin areas with a tear in that same area, otherwise good upper, no other bead loss, 10% quill loss, faded quill one side, four small areas of adhesive applied and visible in the quill wrapped area.
Provenance: The estate of a Wyoming collector.
