The lithograph published in an edition of 30 prints is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left, Hunt catalog raisonné number 10. The image was exhibited: 1st Southwestern Print Exhibition, February 1-29, 1948, Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. Unframed.
CBW's comments in the catalog raisonné read: ''Somewhere my social comment got lost in the activity of the figures. However, the man rolling a cigarette pulls the strings of his Bull Durham pouch in contrast to the notion that all Indians smoked peace pipes. The baby with the kittens is an example of the kind of detail I often included in my pictures in 1939.''
Image measures 9 x 15, sheet is 13 x 19.5 inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage, stain, punctures, tears or repair.
