The etching and drypoint with pochoir in colors on Arches wove paper is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and numbered 26 from the edition of 200 lower left. Published by Jean Schneider, Basel, and Michel Broutta, Paris. Michler-Löpsinger 232; Field 68-3 D. This edition on wove paper was limited to 200. The deluxe edition of 175 prints was on Japon paper. Glossary: Michler-Löpsinger 232; Field 68-3 D Refers to the catalogue raisonné of Salvador Dalí's prints compiled by Ralf Michler and Lutz W. Löpsinger, published in 1995. Pochoir is a stencil process in which color is applied to a print by hand through cut templates/stencils.
Plate measures 23 x 15 with a framed size of 35.75 x 24.75 inches.
Good to very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, punctures, tears or repair, light even toning around the image. When back lit with bright light, there are thin patches in the upper right and left corners. These are NOT visible without lighting from behind and of course not visible when matted and framed. The impression is strong and the color applications are strong.
