Joe Anna was an acclaimed still-life painter, a Signature or Master Signature member of the Oil Painters of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters, and Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, among others. She exhibited widely, including at the Prix de West for fourteen years, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from PleinAir magazine. In addition to her studio practice, she authored Painting Sumptuous Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers in Oil and appeared as a master artist on PBS's Passport & Palette. Her works are included in the Gilcrease Museum (Tulsa), the Albuquerque Museum, Tucson Museum of Fine Arts, National Cowgirl Museum, Cincinnati Museum Center, and Art Asia in Hong Kong.
