201: A NAVAJO RUG WITH STEPPED AND SERRATED DIAMONDS

The wool on cotton rug is woven in an interesting series of horizontal end-to-end diamonds that, while similar, each row varies in color, design and complexity utilizing serrations, stepped motifs and color to create a new optic with each horizontal arrangement. First half of the 20th century.
Measures 84.5 x 54.5 inches.
Velcro whipped stitch along one end and machine binding along that end as well, large holes and fraying at one side, one other small hole, some red color bleed. Intact sides and ends.
