126: A LARGE 19TH C. FRENCH BOULLE TYPE MARQUETRY CLOCK

A large gilt bronze and Boulle type brass inlaid marquetry bracket clock, the case surmounted by a classically robed gilt bronze figure with spear and shield on a scrolling plinth over an arched door fronting the ornate embossed brass clock dial with cartouche shape hand painted porcelain enamel numerals, the four corners of the case mounted with bronze caryatids, a classical maiden on winged Pegasus below the door, the four acanthus feet resting on figural horses atop the conforming base. The original sunburst pendulum and a key are present. Measures 42 x 24 x 9 inches.
Considerable losses, missing the glass from the door.
