44: SHIPLEY'S NO. 398 PERFECTION LEATHER ROPING TREE SADDLE

The plain, unstamped leather saddle with high cantle on roping tree has a high pommel set with leather-wrapped horn atop its wide swell in front of the deep seat stamped by the maker and numbered 398; further stamped Shipley on each fender hung with wood stirrups.
Measures 14 inches from the gullet to the stitching on the cantle.
Very good original condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
