84: A MONUMENTAL 19TH CENT BRONZE CHANDELIER WITH GRIFFINS

The late 19th century brass or bronze chandelier with counter weights and pull down feature extends to a total of approximately 125 inches. The central cased glass 15.5 inch shade is presumed to be original, there are four floriform shades with ruffled opalescent rims on scrolling arms just below a winged griffin figure each side. The original font is missing. This fixture has been electrified.
Measures approximately 119 inches fully extended by approximately 55.75 x 21 inches.
One casting of a small arm has been broken and repaired. The central shaft has a slight bend that prevents the fixture from retracting fully.
