A matched pair of parfleche envelopes, probably Crow, with possible Shoshone or Nez Perce influence. The two are constructed from cow rawhide and ornamented in commercial paint.
Each measures 21.5 x 11.25 x 5 inches.
The flap on one appears scorched, puckering back side.
Provenance: The estate of a Wyoming collector.
